Cameron turned 4 and she had her party at Farmhouse in the City in Roswell. It was a fairy dress-up party where they could put on tu-tu's, have their face painted, make bead jewelry, paint pottery and find candy from the candy fairy. It was so nice out they were able to eat their cupcakes on the back deck. Happy Birthday Miss Cameron!
Darden turned 12 (it says 10 and I corrected it later. Sorry about that Darden!) and she is big kitty cat fan. Her families own cat is black and white so I made a cat sitting up, the face of a cat and a mouse with a ball of yarn. Happy Birthday Darden!
2010-Blake is a repeat customer. I think that is a huge compliment for a 10 year old to request my cupcakes for his birthday. He is still a basketball fan too! Happy Birthday Blake!
Hand drawn GA Tech logo with food coloring.
2009-Blake was turning 9 and wanted 4 decorated with his favorite things: swim goggles, GA Tech, nerf gun and basketball. I thought that was a great combo. Happy birthday Blake!
Lauren's sister Erin was turning 40 and they were giving her a surprise birthday party. She let me know a few of her personal interests and then we decided to do a few "old lady" toppers as well. She had Vanilla, Red Velvet and Italian Cream Cake (new flavor). Happy Birthday Erin!
K lollipop for being a Kindergarten teacher and her name is Kim:-)
Snicker's cupcakes for Kim's birthday. She is a K teacher, went to Auburn, likes to relax with a glass of wine (yeah girl!) and loves the candybar as much as I do. Happy Birthday Kim!
Chandler was turning 4 and wanted a pirate themed party. I did a few for the girls as well. The other dozen had sprinkles to match. This is always a fun theme. Happy Birthday Chandler!
Kathryn turned 7 and was having a sleep-over party with her friends. She likes butterflies and peace symbols so with the colors her mom gave me, I went from there. The butterfly wings are chocolate. Happy Birthday Kathryn!
For Teacher Appreciation Week, my son's teacher had said that Snicker's candy bars were her favorite (mine too actually). I have made Reese's peanut butter cup cupcakes several times with peanut butter in the vanilla batter. I decided chocolate batter was in order for these. I put 1/4 of a mini Snicker in the middle and baked it in. Then once the buttercream was added, another 1/4 of a mini bar, honey roasted peanuts and chocolate drizzle. Other candy bard may have to be on the menu next.....
Superbowl XLV with the Steelers and the Packers. I did cupcakes with both teams colors. The goals are plastic and the footballs are Hershey drops (new chocolate product they're marketing), colored sugars and Williams Sonoma football helmet sprinkles. Surprisingly, no fondant:-)
For Chip's 40th birthday, his sister knew that he would want his favorite cake flavor, Spice Cake with Lemon Buttercream. Citrus buttercream is always a challenge as far as getting the tart right without "turning" the butter. I grated real lemon zest into the buttercream alongwith lemon oil to get more of the tart flavor. I had to try one myself and I must say it is a yummy combo of the tart with the spice. I also made a batch of Reese's Peanut Butter cupcakes to go with it. Happy Birthday Chip!
12 “This Is Your Life”, detailed birthday toppers, book covers or movie themes, etc $120
“Thanksgiving table” $135 for all the additional candy cost.
Suggestions for bridal/baby showers and graduation events:
