NYE 2010

These are Champagne Cupcakes which I made for a New Years party but these would be perfect for a wedding as well. There is champagne in the batter and then after they were baked, I brushed champagne on top. Champagne was also added to the buttercream. They are pure white through and through! I added edible glitter and silver dragees for a celebratory feel. These have become my new favorite. They are so light because of the egg whites (instead of whole eggs in the "classic vanilla") and the slight (very slight) acidic touch of the champagne added to the sweetness is an added surprise. Fondant accents: Clock strikes 12, hat, blower, a few squiggles, edible glitter and some silver dragees.....

Superhero cake and cupcakes-Garner

Class cupcakes
One fondant Optimus Prime
This was a mini cake
For my son's 5th birthday he wanted just about every superhero and then some. His cupcakes had cupcake toppers that I purchased online with his name on them and then just one with a fondant Optimus Prime on top for him. His cake had the first layer for Superman (cape off the side), Batman (cape off the side), Spiderman, Hulk's fist and then topped with Luke and Darth Vader (plastic figures whose light sabers actually light up when you push the button on their backs). The cake itself is chocolate and all the accents are marshmallow fondant.

Candy

These cupcakes were done for a little girl named Josie who was turning 2 and just loves candy. Her invitations had swirled lollipops on them so I made fondant toppers that looked like swirled lollipops, ribbon candy and hard candies with sprinkles. There was a mini cake shaped like a large lollipop with her name on it! Happy 2nd Birthday Josie!

Mouse and cheese

For one of my son's teachers birthday, I found out that she loves all animals and loves cheese. So I thought about a little mouse holding a cheese wedge and then sitting on top of a hoop of "cheese" cake (vanilla cake inside). She was very surprised. Happy Birthday Ms. Naomi!

Gingerbread House Cake.
Cupcakes with trees, elves, reindeer and Santa.

Ella Grace had her 1st Birthday during the month of December. Her cupcakes matcher her invitation with reindeer, trees, elves and santas. On top of her smash cake was a little elfin baby with packages all around. She cried when it was taken away so I guess that is a good sign she liked it:-) Happy Birthday Ella Grace!

Gingerbread

The Holidays are here and I can't think of a better flavor than Gingerbread Man Cupcakes! Just a hint of spice in each, topped with a cinnamon buttercream and then William's Sonoma fresh ground cinnamon on top. Yum! If someone wants pumpkin spice, eggnog latte, peppermint, etc just let me know and I'll come up with a recipe! Thanks for your order Tammy:-)

Brownie troop #2484

Sue's daughter is in a brownie troop so I made 1 dozen with their monogram initials on them and then the other box had the badge they were working on and their troop number. I heard the girls were pretty excited to find their initials:-)

40th-Patrick

Patrick turned 40 and his wife Erica wanted some personalized cupcakes for him: golf, Notre Dame, night out on the town, etc. There was a second box and I forgot to take a picture, but from what I hear they had a fun night and everyone had fun getting their own personalized cupcake. Happy Birthday Patrick!

Reese's cake for a rehearsal dinner

For Brittney and Anthony's Rehearsal Dinner I made a vanilla cake to look like a Reese's Peanut Butter cup. I also made vanilla, chocolate and Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes. The cupcakes were a peanut butter batter with 1/4 of a Reese's cup inside and then topped with a chocolate peanut butter buttercream and then another 1/4 of a Reese's on top. I sprinkled the table with Reese's Pieces because the brides colors were brown, yellow and orange. Congratulations!

Tennis-ALTA

This cake was made for an end of the season ALTA tennis team/birthday celebration. It is a mini cake (board is 11x13 size) with mini cupcakes decorated with a tennis ball on each!

Thanksgiving-mom's birthday

My mom's birthday is always around Thanksgiving and I always try to make something funny so she will laugh. In years past I have put a candle in the pumpkin pie or made a cake topped with fruit to look like a turkey. For 2008 I made a fondant covered "turkey" with the cubes of cake for "stuffing". At first glance my family said "oh, the turkey is already cooked?" And then they looked closer and saw the Happy Birthday Mom on it.....For 2009 I made chocolate cupcakes with individual deorations-a fondant topped table with a turkey.

Bridal Shower-Mississippi

Bridal Shower cupcakes for a friend of mine's neice. The wedding is in Mississippi and what a wonderful aunt to carry these from Atlanta :-) 2 dozen fondant topped vanilla cupcakes with marshmallow fondant accents of monograms (brides NEW initials) and flowers to match her colors. Congratulations Anna!

Birthday-superhero for Caleb

The cakeboard is decorated with invitation his mommy made. For those needing future orders, feel free to give me an invitation so I may incorporate that into the design.
Doesn't every little boy love superhero's? I know my little man does and so does Caleb. He is turning 4 and his mommy is having a superhero bash for him. There are full size vanilla cupcakes for the adults and mini's for the classroom/his friends at the party. The accents are marshmallow fondant and his individual cupcake is a cape and mask. Happy 4th Birthday Caleb!

Wee School JFBC-20 year Anniversary

SUV loaded and ready to go.....
17 boxes x 24 in each. 408 to be exact....
White fondant with white chocolate letters.
Wee School bear.
Bear to match.
On the table for display.

Johnson Ferry Baptist Wee School celebrated the 20 year Anniversary for the Director of the Wee School, Kim Mayo. There was a reception held in her honor. It is a wonderful school in which my oldest attended and now my youngest is enrolled. I was honored to be able to help in the celebration and took on my biggest order to date-400 mini cupcakes! The mini cake was a little something from me to her. The Wee School bear is the "mascot" of the school (on the tote bags) and I wanted to add him to the cake. Congratulations Kim on 20 years!
