Lavender Honey

Shannon is a friend of mine who asked me to make 125 cupcakes and a naked cake. She introduced me to naked cakes which started coming into popularity in 2014. Once I started googling images I became such a fan! I made her 4 different cupcake flavors and the cake was White Wedding Cake with a little almond flavoring. We were also a guest of the wedding and their personal touches, vows, music, traditions, were all so beautiful. Congratulations Shannon and Trevor!

A few British veteran regulars are having a D-Day get together at Meehan's Public House in Vinings (Atlanta). I researched the time period to make sure I captured ideas from that time.

Lacrosse birthday

Vinny turned 11 and had a birthday celebration with his lacrosse teammates. His mom sent me their logo and I hand drew him on one. Happy birthday Vinny!

Lavender Honey

Lemon curd filled

Lavender honey is a new flavor and one of my new favorites. The batter has organic dried lavender buds steeped in water, honey added and then put into the batter. The top of the buttercream has lavender sugar and organic dried lavender buds on top. I recently purchased edible lavender oil so I'll be trying that on the next go around. There are some lemon curd pictures in this post as well.
