Harry Potter-Mallory

Scarf and sorting hat.

Mallory is a Harry Potter fan and it just so happens that she is turning 13 on the premiere of HP7 the 2nd installment on July 15. This is my 3rd time making HP cc's and I try to add a different element each time. This time I added Harry's portrait. Happy 13th Birthday Mallory!

Took a picture once I strung it together.
Sign hung up at the party.
In the middle of making it.

Jackson and Anderson were turning 4 and 8 and their mom threw them a Harry Potter pool party! She came up with diving for dragon eggs and had all kinds of cute labels on jars, etc. She asked me to make some items to go with the cupcakes since I had also done a HP birthday party for my son in December (on this blog as well). Here is the transition of how it came about. Thank you Christy for contacting me!

Painting party

Baylor and Olivia were both turning 7 and having a painting pottery party. There cupcake was an oversized one in chocolate just for them and then a chocolate and vanilla dozen for their friends. Happy Birthday girls!

S'mores

Graham cracker crust, layer of chocolate chips, chocolate batter, home-made marshmallow frosting (tempered egg whites over a double boiler, sugar, cream of tarter, vanilla), then a butane torch to "burn" the marshmallow and a Hershey's square on top!

Baby shower-book theme

Fondant topper for each one in the color and theme of the Book Themed Baby Shower.
The BEFORE picture. Cut ribbon, boxed cc's with buttercream and fondant toppers. I also made scrap paper books with each guests name on the front of the book and Thank You For Coming on the inside of each one and then attached it with ribbon to the outside. AFTER. Boxed and ready to be the place setting for each lady.

Jessica and her friends hosted a Book Themed Baby Shower for their friend Heidi. These were custom cupcakes to be used as place settings for each lady attending. Not only did the fondant have the theme, but each ladies names was on the book on the outside. Congratulations to the parents!

Superheros

L-R: Flash, Wonder Woman, Hulk, Iron Man
L-R: Batman, Fantastic 4 (and Fantastic Beckett at age 4!), Superman, Spiderman
X-Men, Green Lantern, Captain America, Wolverine
Beckett loves superhero's, all of them, so for his 4th birthday his mom asked me to make 3 dozen of all different kinds. Ok, I had to cheat and ask my husband because he used to read comic books as a kid so he knew all of these and helped me with ideas. They are so fun and colorful. I love how they turned out. Happy 4th Birthday Beckett!

4th of July 2011

Watermelon shark with blue jello. It was the 4th of July weekend. My tennis assignment was fruit. Why not? :)
Organic Kansas Blue Cornmeal. It's the first time I had ever baked with it, but with Grand Marnier Agave Butter, they turned out just great!
Made some sparkler's for the kids.
Ping Pong game I made for a friend.
Wreath I made for a friend.

Vanilla batter dyed blue and red.
