LEGO-birthday Garner

I made invitations with jewelry boxes.
I had loose Lego's in each with further instructions.
Once they built the Lego's it said--Food and cupcakes will be served. Please RSVP by -/-/- to ---@hotmail.com.
Because I was caught up in the details of other items of the party I decided to go simple and make chocolate lego's out of some silicone molds I bought. No fondant this time!Lego candy block bricks. They're stackable too!
Little mini figure with mini building pack for the take home favors.
favors
Diaper box pinata I made with "red solo cups" and red crepep paper. No glue, just a tape.
All foods were square, rectangular or round for the components of the Lego bricks.
Cheese and cracker building pieces.
Lego juice boxes with square food.
Bubble wrap runner.
Estimation jar as a decoration. Empty boxes wrapped in primary colors for extra height.
Each boy had a plastic bag with loose wheels, bricks, etc to build a car and race them with each other down the 4 tracks.

Lego Factory building area in the basement.
I wrapped empty boxes in primary colors for extra tables.
Drew the faces on with a permanent marker.
Estimation jar in the middle of the table with my son's Lego's that I counted out ahead of time. This was a good activity when they first came in while the rectangular "brick" pizza was cooking with pepperoni "lego dots" on top.Drew Lego head faces on each.
We recently went to Legoland in Florida because my son is in love with Lego's right now. For his 7th birthday I invited the boys from class and had an all Lego themed party. I have to say of all the parties I have done for my children, this might have been one of the easiest parties I've ever planned. I did let the boys take home the cars they built so that might be the biggest expense if I could offer an advice on planning your own, but besides that it was easy to come up with food and activities and they all said "it was the best party ever" :)

Atlanta Opera

Rabbit Tales, Don Giovanni, The Golden Ticket, Lucia

Musical notes, The Atlanta Opera logo, The Atlanta Opera Ball, BBC Proms

In the process.....

My friend and neighbor Jeff LaClaire of LaClaire & Company, LLC. asked me to make some cupcakes for his client The Atlanta Opera. These were a little challenging (but so were the Gwinett Arena ones he had me make a couple years ago:) but I tried my best to match to the links he gave me. They featured me on their blog. Thank you!

The Atlanta Opera said: Thank you so much for the delicious "Atlanta Opera-themed" cupcakes sent to our office this morning! They were beautiful, tasty, and an excellent Friday surprise. We've featured you on our Tumblr blog (http://theatlantaoperablog.tumblr.com/) with our appreciation!

Christmas Brunch Birthday 2012

Presley was turning 3 and her mommy had a Brunch with Santa for her birthday. Her colors were lime green and hot pink and she wanted a Santa, Mrs. Claus, boy elf and girl elf. I thought the color combo's turned out really cute and it gave me a chance to make my first Mrs. Claus. Happy Birthday Presley!

1st Birthday-Snowflakes cupcakes

Ella and Lila celebrated their 1st birthday with a snowflake theme. Their invitation had 2 cupcakes on it with snowflakes and lime green and pink throughout so I incorporated that in the design. Happy Birthday girls!
